Tessa Allen

Tessa Allen is a skilled textiles technician and artisan with extensive experience in dyeing, printing, and restoring fabrics and footwear for various industries, including theatre, film, and fashion. Currently employed at Nicola Killeen Textiles, Tessa specializes in color matching and fabric preparation. Concurrently, Tessa works as a maker at The Seam, focusing on bespoke and customized repair projects. Previous roles include embroidery specialist at SOJO, where community events were also organized, and a brief position at the Royal Opera House focused on dyeing ballet footwear. Tessa led global craftsmanship standards at The Restory, developing training materials and overseeing quality control. Other experiences include costume assistance at Giffords Circus, design assistance and internships at Hand & Lock, Holly Fulton, and Mary Katrantzou. Tessa holds a BA in Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors from Bath Spa University and has pursued further education in related fields.
