Pamela Slifer is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in teaching and mentoring. Currently serving as a Lead Teacher at The Shefa School since July 2016, Pamela has developed and implemented lesson plans across various subjects while providing tailored modifications for students. Pamela has also taken on roles as a Mentor Teacher, Chesed Coordinator, and Professional Development Co-leader, demonstrating leadership in coaching peers and enhancing instructional practices. Previously, Pamela worked as the Assistant Director of the Congregational School at Park Avenue Synagogue, overseeing teacher development and curricular frameworks. Early career experiences include research roles at Sesame Workshop and a position at DoSomething.org, focusing on educational outreach initiatives. Pamela holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Brandeis University and a Master of Education from Rutgers University.
