Justine Siew serves as a Junior Biocurator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since November 2022, focusing on gene curation and annotations for ClinGen working groups. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant, where Justine developed skills in scientific evidence curation and participated in ClinGen curation frameworks. Additionally, Justine has interpreted a variety of content for The Shepherd’s Church since 2019 and worked as Social Media Director at BEREA Academy STL from September 2017 to July 2023. In June 2022, Justine engaged in a DNA Barcoding Project at Durham Technical Community College, where DNA was extracted and identified. Justine also completed a Summer SciComm Institute at the same institution in 2021, focusing on video production for scientific concepts, and took part in the UNC Genomic Medicine Program as a research student in summer 2021. Educational credentials include Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees from Durham Technical Community College.
