Johnnie Taylor

Johnnie Taylor currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Lexington, a position held since August 2023. With extensive experience in municipal management, Johnnie has been an instructor for the Solid Waste Association of North America since September 2014, specializing as a Level 3 certified instructor in Managing Integrated Systems and Collections. Prior to the current role, Johnnie worked for the City of Winston-Salem from April 2003 to August 2023, where responsibilities included interim city management, oversight of various departments as Assistant City Manager, and leadership roles in public works and sanitation. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering/Industrial Management and an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Salem University, along with advanced degrees in Biblical Studies and Theology from Vintage Bible College and Andersonville Theology Seminary.
