*Located in Houston with willingness to travel to Austin 1-2 times a month

Principle Functions: The Director of Development is responsible for all activities and tasks related to the maintenance of current donors and cultivation of new donor relationships for their assigned region. They will champion the mission and vision of The Source to increase our network of support and raise funds to support the furthering of the ministry. 

Qualifications:   

  • 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit development.

  • Proven experience of raising funds.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life and sexual purity.

  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith and policies of the center.

  • Commitment to excellence and performing at a high level.

  • Sef motivated leader who initiates and completes projects efficiently on time.

  • Embody the entrepreneurial spirit. Self-starter who crafts creative solutions and opens doors to new donor relationships.

  • An active listener to all constituents, focusing especially on staff and donor needs.

  • Proven ability to interact and influence philanthropic leaders. Pre-existing professional relationships with philanthropic community is a plus

  • Experience motivating and managing highly talented staff and build Houston development team to reach max impact on donor development.

  • Some expert knowledge of trends in philanthropy and major gifts.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various internal and external constituents.

  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in database management, preferably Raisers’ Edge and Microsoft Office Suite, among other computer skills, CRM experience, as required.

  • Located in Houston with willingness to travel to Austin 1-2 times a month.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Cultivate relationships with potential and current donors.

  • Donor care to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with supporters.

  • Oversee special events, fundraisers, and annual fundraising event in Houston.

  • Revenue generation through relationship-based fundraising.

  • Collaborate with Outreach team on church partnerships.

  • Consistent communication with all supporters.

  • Develop and execute annual fundraising plan.

  • Oversee CRM, donor tracking, and manage donor pipeline.

  • Donor Thank Yous and follow ups.

  • Track all donor communications and touch points in CRM regularly (including meetings, phone calls, text messages, emails, and thank yous)

Management 

  • Provides training and support to development team as roles evolve.

  • Report to CEO on donor campaign outcomes and ROI.

  • Manage HTX fundraising budget.

General 

  • Professionally represents the values of The Source through words, actions, and decisions.

  • Oversees the research, identification, solicitation, and stewardship of potential foundations, churches and individual donors.

  • Follow all pledges to close, collect funds committed to the organization.
