Barry Jacobs

Barry Jacobs has extensive experience in international relations and media, serving as Owner at Chartwell Consultancy and as an International/Civil Aviation expert at THE SPECTRUM GROUP since October 2008. Prior roles include a decade at the American Jewish Committee focused on the International Division/Asia Pacific Institute, and VP of International Media at Discovery Communications. Jacobs' career in government spanned nearly three decades as a Senior Foreign Service Officer with the United States Information Agency. An accomplished educator, Jacobs holds multiple degrees, including a certificate in Government Relations from The George Washington University and an MS in National Security Studies from the National War College. Additional academic credentials include studies at the Foreign Service Institute and the London School of Economics, as well as an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
