Climate Education Workshop Facilitator at The Starfish Canada

Sarah Syed is a dedicated advocate for environmental sustainability, currently serving as a Youth Advisory Board Member at UN-Habitat and a Transformation Storytelling Fellow at Community Foundations of Canada. With extensive experience as a Climate Education Workshop Facilitator and Community and Marketing Manager at The Starfish Canada, Sarah has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Under 25 Environmentalists in Canada. In May 2023, Sarah represented The Fyera Foundation and Heart Ambassadors as a delegate and speaker at the United Nations STI Forum, emphasizing the importance of bridging the tech gender gap. Sarah has delivered impactful speeches to over 7000 individuals across more than seven countries, covering various prominent platforms. Currently, Sarah holds roles as a Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Researcher at Windfall Ecology Centre and Youth Community Engagement Lead at the Bay Area Climate Change Council, and has contributed as a Program Manager at EarthNet and a Youth Fellow at the David Suzuki Foundation. Sarah is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Environmental Management at York University.
