Akshay Seetharam

Akshay Seetharam is a Bachelor of Science candidate in Mathematical and Computational Biology at Harvey Mudd College, expected to graduate in 2027. Currently serving as a Grader for the Fundamentals of Music course at Scripps College and a Puzzlemaster for The Student Life Newspaper, Akshay has also gained valuable research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at Keck Graduate Institute, where work involved identifying novel viruses from marine metagenomic data. Previous internships include positions at Stanford University's Good Lab in Applied Physics, focusing on population-level processes in ecosystems, and at Open Health Systems Laboratory, contributing to the Cancer Distributed Learning Environment software development. Additionally, Akshay has experience in education as a Model United Nations Tutor and Mathematics Tutor, alongside co-leading the Nueva Trivia Club, which organized trivia tournaments and charity fundraisers.
