Ani Harutyunyan currently serves as a Scholar and Principal Investigator at Sunwater Institute, where notable publications include articles in peer-reviewed journals such as PNAS and the European Journal of Development Research. In addition, Ani holds the position of Innovation Law and Policy Fellow at George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School. Previous experience includes work as an External Consultant for The World Bank, focusing on the effects of lending versus non-lending services on government policies in developing countries, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at William & Mary, with publications in Comparative Economic Studies and International Migration Review. Ani has also contributed research as a Research Fellow at KU Leuven and held multiple research and teaching roles at Southern Methodist University. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Economics from KU Leuven, alongside degrees from Southern Methodist University and Armenian State University of Economics.
