Benjamin J. McKay

Benjamin McKay has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Benjamin served as the CEO & Executive Director of The Surplus Line Association of California, managing all aspects of the organization and its employees. Prior to that, they were the Chair Emeritus and Counsellor to the Board at Florida First Capital Finance Corporation, a major Certified Development Corporation. Benjamin also worked as the Senior Vice President at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, overseeing government relations and advocacy activities. Additionally, Benjamin served as the Chief of Staff for a United States Congressman and managed operations and staff. Before that, they were the Chief of Staff at the Florida Department of State, responsible for managing a large budget and diverse functional units.

Benjamin McKay has a diverse education background. Benjamin holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from The Catholic University of America, where they specialized in law. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science and Theater from Florida State University.
