Vice President Of Contracting at The Systems Group

Steve Wood has a long and extensive work experience in the systems contracting and fabrication industry. Steve started their career at Systems Contracting Corporation in 1987 as a Project Manager/Estimator and worked there until 1998. During this time, they gained experience in project management and estimating. In 1998, they were promoted to the position of Vice President - Project Estimating & Development, a role they held until 2013.

In 2014, Steve joined The SYSTEMS GROUP as the Vice President - Business Development. After a few months, they moved to Systems Fab & Machine (formerly American Steel Company) as the Vice President - General Manager. Steve held this position from 2014 to 2015.

Since 2016, Steve has been working at The Systems Group. Steve initially started as a Project Director and later became the Vice President of Contracting in 2023. As Vice President of Contracting, they are responsible for overseeing contracts and managing the contracting operations of the company.

Steve Wood attended Louisiana Tech University from 1975 to 1978, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at Northeast Louisiana University from 1980 to 1983. At Northeast Louisiana University, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and was involved in the Geology/Geosciences - Masters Program, completing 36 hours of coursework in this field.
