Sean Murphy has a diverse work history in the technology and research fields. Sean started their career as a Technical Assistant in Agriculture Marketing Research and Communication at Oregon State University in May 2018. Sean later transitioned to the role of an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Molecular Wine Research at the same university in September 2018. In 2019, Sean joined Ecarin as a Software Engineer Intern, gaining valuable industry experience. Sean then moved on to work as a Software Engineer at The TIE starting in December 2020. Overall, Sean has demonstrated their technical skills and adaptability through their various roles in both academic and professional settings.
Sean Murphy began their education in 2014 at the University of Puget Sound, where they studied Computer Science and Business. Sean then transferred to Oregon State University in 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biochemistry with a concentration in Bioinformatics and a minor in Chemistry. In 2018, Sean earned a certification in Human Research, Group 2: Biomedical Researchers, 1 - Basic Course from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). Finally, in 2019, they pursued a BS in Computer Science at Oregon State University, completing it in 2020.
