Garrett Cobb

Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama in Huntsville

Garrett Cobb is a highly skilled mechanical and aerospace engineer with significant experience in propulsion research and engineering. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the UAH Propulsion Research Center, Garrett focuses on film cooling techniques in rotating detonation combustors, having previously created design tools and operated test stands for engine testing. In prior roles, Garrett contributed as a Propulsion Engineering Intern at Venus Aerospace, developing computational fluid models and ignition systems, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the same center, where work included MATLAB script development and rapid prototyping. Additional experience includes research at UW-Madison, a mechanical engineering co-op at Sierra Nevada Corporation, and a position as a line technician at Wisconsin Aviation, Inc. Garrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics, a Master of Science in Aerospace Systems Engineering, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
