Marilyn Omaya has a diverse work experience history. Marilyn began their career in 2018 as a Sales Assistant at the University of New Mexico Bookstore. In 2019, they took on the role of Lobby Committee Chair at the Graduate and Professional Student Association at UNM, followed by an Office Manager position at the Graduate and Professional Student Association (UNM). Marilyn also interned at The University of New Mexico Foundation, Inc. in the same year. In 2019, Omaya worked as a Graduate Assistant at the UNM School of Public Administration. In 2020, they transitioned into the role of Scheduling and Payroll Manager at Genesis, where they worked until mid-2021.
