Chris Martin

Chris Martin serves as the Director of Education and Senior Lecturer at The University of Sheffield since 2012, also holding the position of Royal Society University Research Fellow. Research focuses on interpreting functional brain imaging signals, exploring their implications for understanding normal brain function and neurological diseases, and investigating the neurophysiological basis and neurovascular coupling mechanisms underlying these signals. An interest in science communication emphasizes the importance of conveying brain imaging research findings to non-academic audiences. Previously, Chris Martin worked at the University of Oxford as a Royal Society University Research Fellow, a Lecturer in Psychology at St. Catherine's College, and a Fulford Junior Research Fellow. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology, both from The University of Sheffield.
