Akram Mohammed

Akram Mohammed, MS, PhD, currently serves as the Bioinformatics Manager for the Biorepository and Integrative Genomics at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, focusing on analyzing genetic data from over 9,000 children to investigate disease-linked genetic variations. In addition, Akram holds an adjunct professor position, developing advanced predictive models utilizing -omics and biomedical informatics data. Previous experience includes roles as a Bioinformatics Research Associate and Postdoctoral Fellow, where Akram designed predictive algorithms for clinical applications and collaborated on research analyzing large datasets. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University at Albany. Akram has co-authored several publications throughout the career, demonstrating expertise in machine learning and predictive analytics in healthcare contexts.
