Vera Schattan Pereira Coelho

Vera Schattan Pereira Coelho has extensive experience in research and policy analysis, primarily focused on citizenship, health, and development. As the Coordinator of the Citizenship, Health, and Development Nucleus at Centro Brasileiro de Análise e Planejamento since November 1996, Vera has led discussions on public policies aimed at equity and social participation. Vera's role as a Senior Researcher involves conducting comparative studies on health systems and social participation while providing consultancy to various governments and international agencies. Additionally, Vera holds positions as an Associate Researcher at the Centro de Estudos da Metrópole and as a Professor at Universidade Federal do ABC, contributing to graduate programs in Public Policies. Vera received a doctorate in Social Sciences and has held visiting researcher positions at renowned institutions, including Harvard Kennedy School and the Institute of Development Studies.
