Mike Sierra has a diverse and extensive work experience in the IT and management field. Mike has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.
Starting in 1997, Mike worked as a Senior Network Engineer at THE CENTECH GROUP, Inc., where they led a team and was responsible for information technology infrastructure modernization for the US Department of State.
In 2000, they joined Electronic Data Systems as an Advanced Communications Engineer, overseeing the architecture and network design for a DoD information technology contract.
Later, Mike joined Unisys in 2003, where they held multiple roles including Information Assurance Architect, Deputy Director of the MICS Team, Director of Federal Engineering, Director of Delivery, and Management Volume Lead. In these roles, they provided strategic leadership, managed software releases, mentored cross-functional teams, and oversaw bid support efforts for government agencies.
Most recently, Mike has been working at The Ventura Group, Inc. since 2012. Mike initially served as a VP, overseeing business development, project management, and business process re-engineering. Currently, they hold the position of President, where they lead the company's Program Management Office and provides leadership to the Information Assurance/Cyber Practice and Quality Assurance Group.
Overall, Mike has demonstrated their expertise in IT, management, and government contracts throughout their career.
Mike Sierra has studied Political Science, focusing on International Relations, at Texas A&M University. Additionally, they have pursued Industrial Management at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
