Bill Shouldice has a diverse work experience, starting in 1986 as the Executive Director of the Rutland Economic Development Corp. There, they focused on community and economic development projects. Bill then moved on to the Vermont Commerce and Community Development Agency, where they served as Deputy Secretary and later as Secretary, championing bills and securing grants for the state. In 1998, Shouldice became the President and CEO of the Orton Family Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps rural communities make decisions about growth and development. Since 2003, they have been the President and CEO of the Vermont Country Store, where they have successfully led the business and achieved consistent profits while making significant investments for the future.
Bill Shouldice attended Merrimack College from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Political Science. Later, they enrolled at Harvard University and completed the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, finishing in 1992.
