Melissa Schalles

Melissa Schalles has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Melissa'smost recent position is as a Project Manager at The Vets, which they have held since July 2021. Prior to this, Melissa worked as a Veterinary Clinic Manager at the College of Southern Nevada from January 2005 to March 2020. Melissa also served as the Head Licensed Veterinary Technician at Rainbow Animal Hospital from April 2002 to July 2005 and as a Licensed Veterinary Technician at South Shores Animal Hospital from April 2001 to April 2002. Melissa began their career in the recruitment field as a Recruiter at Aerotek from April 2000 to April 2001. Melissa also gained experience as an Equine Specialist at Wayne Newton's Aramus Arabians from August 1998 to May 2000 and as a Veterinary Assistant at American Pet Hospital from August 1998 to April 2000.

Melissa Schalles has a diverse education history. Melissa began their educational journey at Cimarron Memorial High School, where they obtained their high school diploma in General Studies in the years 1992-1994. Following this, they attended Colorado State University from 1994 to 1998, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences.

Melissa furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas from 2006 to 2008. This degree allowed their to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of education.

In addition to their degrees, Melissa also holds a certification as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Melissa obtained this certification from the Nevada Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners in February 2002. This certification further highlights Melissa's commitment to their education and professional development in the field of veterinary medicine.
