Carolyn MacDonald

Carolyn MacDonald is an executive leader with more than 25 years of experience across science, broadcasting, and digital media. She is passionate about bringing people together to work collaboratively, solve challenges and explore new opportunities to continually contribute to WEHI’s success.

As Chief Operating Officer, she leads WEHI's Professional Services team to collaborate with scientists as they work to make medical research discoveries that help the community live longer, healthier lives. She lead a team of experienced executives who deliver WEHI’s Business Development, Communications and Marketing, Research Grants, Philanthropy, Bioservices and Laboratory Operations, Facilities, Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Information Technology Services functions.

she is a member of WEHI’s Executive Team, which leads WEHI’s strategy and operations as overseen by the WEHI Board.
