Jeff Mitchell

Jeff Mitchell is an accomplished professional in the field of medicinal chemistry, currently serving as the Head of the National Drug Discovery Centre at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research since October 2015. Prior to this role, Jeff undertook various positions, including acting as Program Manager and working as a Medicinal Chemist. From July 2003 to March 2015, Jeff held multiple roles at Biota Pharmaceuticals, culminating as Associate Director/Principal Research Scientist. Jeff's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry and a BSc(Hons) in Chemistry, both obtained from the University of Melbourne.
