Arelis Hernandez

Arelis Hernandez is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in various reporting roles. Currently serving as a Reporter-Correspondent for The Washington Post, Arelis previously held positions as a Breaking News Reporter at the Orlando Sentinel and a Reporter/Web Producer for Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. Additionally, Arelis co-directed the AAJA JCamp program, contributing to the development of upcoming journalists. Earlier experience includes an internship at The Associated Press. Arelis holds a B.A. in Journalism and U.S. Latina/o Studies from the University of Maryland, where studies were completed between 2005 and 2009.
