Gitesh Gohel is an experienced product and design leader currently serving as Head of Product + Design at The Washington Post since March 2024. Previously, Gitesh held the position of Chief Product Officer at SpeakEasy AI, focusing on applied AI solutions for online conversations until its acquisition by Amplica Labs in April 2024. Gitesh's career includes significant roles such as Sr. Director of Product - Interactive at CNN, where Gitesh contributed to the launch of CNN+, and VP of Product at GIPHY, overseeing product growth and innovation prior to its acquisition by META. Gitesh was also VP of Product at Brigade, leading efforts to enhance civic engagement, and worked at Tumblr as the first product manager, developing key ad products. Additional experience includes positions at Intent Media, Jumo.com, and roles supporting political campaigns and organizations. Gitesh holds a Master of Science in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from New York University and a BA in Political Science from Brunel University London.
