Francesca Hughes

Francesca Hughes currently serves as the Corporate Partnerships & Policy Manager at The Wave Project, where responsibilities include building impactful corporate-charity partnerships and advocating for surf therapy and nature-based interventions to improve the mental health and well-being of young people. Previously, Francesca held the position of Policy Officer at The Wave Project and worked as an Associate Lawyer in Intellectual Property at Hogan Lovells from August 2017 to June 2022. An initial foray into public policy was made as a Public Policy Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives and as a Global Policy and Advocacy Intern at Save the Children US. Francesca completed a BA in Politics at the University of Exeter, which included a study abroad year at American University in Washington DC.
