Susan Vadner

Susan Vadner, C.P.A. has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Susan started their career as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago. Susan then joined FIS (formerly SunGard Data Systems) as Group Controller, where they participated in the management team for three international business unit groups and played a key role in company financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and SEC reporting. During their time at FIS, they also managed the financial process for 15 acquisitions and contributed to a margin improvement from 25% to 30%.

Following their tenure at FIS, Susan worked at FAF Advisors as the Director of Finance, overseeing the finance team responsible for monthly close, forecasting, financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. Susan successfully implemented line of business reporting and participated in sales process changes, resulting in increased margins and revenue growth.

Susan then joined FIS again, this time as the Segment Financial Officer (CFO/Controller), where they partnered with the President and management team to oversee an international business with $200 million in revenue, 750 employees, and customers in 65 countries. Susan was responsible for financial plans, accounting practices, SOX compliance, and managing a staff of fifteen.

Their most recent position was at The Weather Channel, where they served as VP Accounting. In this role, Susan directed the operations of the Revenue Accounting group, providing billing, financial, and strategic support to the business units of an international $650M business. Susan led initiatives including SOX 404 implementation and collaborated with cross-functional teams to influence decision-making, policy, and compliance.

Throughout their career, Susan has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical accounting expertise, and a track record of driving financial improvements and supporting business growth.
