Luisana Pérez Fernández

Luisana Pérez Fernández has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of communications and media. Starting in 2015, they worked as the District Director for House Representative Jose Javier Rodriguez in the Florida House of Representatives. Luisana continued their career in politics and communication by becoming the District Director for State Senator José Javier Rodríguez in the Florida Senate from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they served as the Hispanic Communications Director and Spokesperson for Bill Nelson's U.S. Senate campaign. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Political Analyst, and during the same period, they also hosted a Spanish-language radio show called "Democracia al Día" discussing relevant topics for the Hispanic communities in Florida. In 2019, they joined the Florida Democratic Party as the Hispanic Communications Director and later became the Deputy Communications Director and Hispanic Media Director until 2020. Luisana also worked independently as a self-employed Political Analyst during this time. In 2020, they served as the Florida Deputy Communications Director for Biden for President, where they developed and implemented a communications strategy, led the statewide Hispanic media program, and managed the Coalitions Communications Team. In 2021, they worked as the Deputy Communications Director in the Office of Mayor Daniella Levine Cava in Miami-Dade County. Luisana then transitioned to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as the Press Secretary from February to August 2021. Currently, Luisana Pérez Fernández holds the position of Director of Hispanic Media at The White House.

Luisana Pérez Fernández holds a B.A. in International Studies from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Luisana has also obtained a one-year certificate in Photography from the Institute Seni Indonesia. In addition, Luisana has additional certifications in Protocol and Etiquette from the Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos Romulo Gallegos, and Research Methodology from the Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas.
