Joe Smith

Joe Smith currently serves as the Vice President and Director at The Wilds since October 2021. Prior to this role, Joe Smith worked at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo for 18 years, holding positions as Director of Animal Programs and Director of Animal Health. Joe Smith also participated in the Executive Leadership Development Program at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums from January 2019 to January 2020. Joe Smith earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University between 1997 and 2003.
