Mario Zec

Mario Zec has a extensive work experience in the maritime industry, primarily in the role of an engineer. Their most recent position was as the Chief Engineer at The World starting from August 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Staff Chief Engineer at The World for two years.

Before joining The World, they held the position of Site team Staff Chief Engineer for luxury explorer vessel new build project at Silversea Cruises in 2020. Mario also worked as the Staff Chief Engineer at Viking Cruises from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, they served as a 2nd Engineer on a 140 meter private yacht from 2017 to 2018, and as a 1st Engineer at Viking Cruises from 2016 to 2017.

Mario's earlier experience includes working as a 1st Engineer at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines from 2014 to 2016, and as a 2nd Engineer from 2013 to 2014. Mario also worked as a 2nd Engineer at Norwegian Cruise Line from 2010 to 2013, and as a 2nd Engineer at Regent Seven Seas Cruises from 2007 to 2010. At the start of their career, they held the position of 2nd and 3rd Engineer at Marina Cruises Company for a short duration in 2007.

Mario Zec attended Marine Engineering University of Dubrovnik from 2001 to 2005. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marine Engineering.
