Pat McNees

Pat McNees is an accomplished memoir writing instructor and sole proprietor of both Writers and Editors and Pat McNees & Associates, dedicated to helping individuals articulate their life stories and organizational histories. With extensive experience teaching at The Writer's Center and Montgomery County libraries since 2007, Pat leads the "My Life, One Story at a Time" workshop, focusing on guided autobiography prompts. Pat's professional background includes significant membership roles in various journalism and writing associations, including the American Society of Journalists & Authors, and past leadership positions within the Association of Personal Historians. Notably, Pat authored "Changing Times, Changing Minds," a narrative history for the University of Maryland School of Medicine, leveraging a wealth of interviews and correspondence. Pat holds a BA in English from UCLA and studied at Stanford University.
