David Harbourne

David Harbourne is an experienced leader currently serving as Chair of The Yorkshire Philosophical Society and York Centre For Voluntary Service, positions held since October 2023 and October 2019, respectively. Harbourne has a background in governance and policy development, having served as a Governor at Selby College and as Chair of The Carers' Resource from 2010 to 2018. Notably, Harbourne was the Director of Policy and Research at the Edge Foundation, advocating for vocational education, and held advisory and executive roles within various educational and charitable organizations. Harbourne’s educational credentials include a BSc (Econ) in Political Science and Government from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and specialized public administration training at ENA - Ecole nationale d'administration.
