Lara Nicholson

Lara Nicholson is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in various reporting roles. Currently, Lara serves as a Jefferson Parish Reporter at The Times-Picayune | Nola.com, where responsibilities also include covering Baton Rouge City Hall, criminal justice, and Florida parishes through Report for America. Previously, Lara held the position of Editor In Chief at The Reveille and completed internships at notable organizations such as The Advocate, where involvement included metro desk reporting, and Baton Rouge Business Report focused on business reporting. Educationally, Lara holds a Dual Bachelor of Art in Journalism and Political Science from Louisiana State University, complemented by a cognitive science research internship at the Air Force Research Laboratory.
