Kim Hide has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to the present. They started their career at Loughborough College, where they worked as a Lecturer in Sport from September 2007 to June 2011. They then progressed to become a Curriculum Manager in Sport from June 2011 to February 2013 and later as the Deputy Head of Sixth Form from February 2013 to September 2015. During this time, they also served as a Staff Governor from March 2015 to September 2015.
In 2015, Kim joined The Football Association (FA) and worked as the Professional Development Lead until August 2019. In this role, they were responsible for managing the recruitment, training, and development of the FA National Tutor Workforce. They played a crucial role in establishing a world-leading education system by delivering FA courses across coach education, safeguarding, medical, and referee disciplines. After that, Kim took on the position of Senior Lead - Quality and Improvement from August 2019 until September 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading the strategic learning and development approach of England Football Learning, focusing on personalized and connected learning experiences, as well as the design, development, and delivery of qualifications and ongoing learning opportunities. Currently, Kim serves as the Head of Learning and Development at The Football Association, a role they have held since September 2020.
Kim Hide attended Loughborough University from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a BSc in Sports Science with Management. They then pursued a Graduate Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector at the University of Derby from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, Kim completed the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing at the CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing. Finally, in 2017 to 2018, they obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Learning and Development from CIPD Qualifications.
