Director Of Customs Compliance at Theory

Aneta Skromak has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Aneta began their career at MEWA SA, where they served as an Export Assistant, Purchase Assistant, and eventually a Purchase Manager. During their time at MEWA SA, Aneta was responsible for finding new suppliers, placing and monitoring orders for fabrics, yarns, packaging, and accessories.

After their tenure at MEWA SA, Aneta worked at Douglas Gill Ltd as a Sales Representative. In this role, they showcased and distributed the company's collection among customers, as well as actively sought out new customers.

Aneta then joined Jordache Limited / Jordache Enterprises as an Import Assistant. Their responsibilities included monitoring air and ocean shipments, ensuring timely ISF filing, and overseeing deliveries to warehouses.

Next, Aneta worked at Joe Fresh / Loblaw Companies Limited as an Analyst in Customs and Global Trade Compliance. In this role, they specialized in classification for US HTS and Canadian HS apparel, footwear, and accessories. Additionally, Aneta handled CBP ACH processing.

At The Children's Place, Aneta first served as a Customs Compliance Specialist, where they gained experience in post-entry audit, apparel, accessories, and footwear classification. Later, they were promoted to the position of Customs Compliance Manager, where they continued to excel in their responsibilities.

Currently, Aneta Skromak holds the position of Director of Customs Compliance at Theory.

Aneta Skromak obtained a Bachelor's degree in English from Teacher's Training College in 1999. Aneta then pursued a Master's degree in English from Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, which they completed in 2002. In 2015, Aneta Skromak also obtained a certification as a Certified Customs Specialist from the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America, Inc.
