Ben Krela has worked in various roles since 1987. Ben began their career as a Mechanized Infantry Platoon Commander for the Canadian Armed Forces and NATO in 1987 and 1988 respectively. In 1990, they joined SNC-Lavalin as an Area Sales Manager for the European Union and Global Director of International Marketing and Sales. In 1995, they worked for Esterline CMC Electronics as Global Director of International Marketing and Sales. Ben also served as CEO and CoFounder of ORTHOsoft at Zimmer Biomet in the same year. In 2020, they were appointed CEO of Task Force Runway and in 2021, they became the Principal and Founder of Theranim Incorporated. Ben has also been an Angel Investor, Operating Partner, Board Chair, Member and Advisor, and has 26 years of experience leading various Artificial Intelligence, 3D, Virtual Reality, IoT, Robotics, R&D, Software/Hardware Product Integration, and Ventures. Ben has also accomplished Launch, Early Stage, Start-up, and Growth CEO roles, and is skilled in Stakeholder Conflict Resolution, Change Management, and Complex Negotiations.
Ben Krela has a varied educational background. Ben attended Collège Notre-Dame from 1977 to 1982, where they completed their Secondaire V. Ben then attended the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada from 1982 to 1984, where they obtained their Diploma of College Studies in Administration et Humanités. Ben continued their studies at the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada from 1984 to 1987, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Military and Strategic Studies. In 1992, they enrolled in McGill University - Desautels Faculty of Management, where they are currently pursuing a McGill Executive Institute in Strategic Marketing Management and Negotiating for Success.
