Christoph Schaefer

Christoph Schaefer is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software architecture and research. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Software Architecture & Research at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Christoph oversees a global team focused on developing the next-generation software and data platform for the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division. Prior to this role, Christoph held a series of significant positions at Agilent Technologies, including Senior Lead Software Architect, where responsibilities encompassed designing enterprise-level software architectures and guiding technical strategies. Christoph's early career includes leadership roles at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and co-founding progXimity GmbH, along with a strong academic background, with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
