Kamal Garcha

Kamal Garcha is a Sr. Scientist in Lab Automation at Thermo Fisher Scientific since March 2022, with extensive experience in biotechnology and research management. Garcha has served as a Consultant at GFY Biotech Consulting and a Scientific Advisory Board Member at Peptineo since March 2014. Previously, Garcha held positions as Project Manager and Research Safety Coordinator at University Health Network from March 2014 to March 2022, and as Director and Manager of the Cell Reprogramming & Engineering Platform at the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine between April 2011 and November 2013. Garcha’s early career included a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto focusing on patient-specific human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. Garcha earned a PhD in Cellular & Physiological Sciences from The University of British Columbia and holds both an MSc in Zoology and an Honours BSc in Cell Biology from Western University.
