Amit Bermanis

Amit Bermanis has worked in a variety of roles in the field of algorithms research and development. From 2019 to present, they have been a Senior Algorithms Researcher and Algorithms Researcher at ThetaRay. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Course Instructor at the University of Toronto. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Inria. In 2014, they were a Senior Algorithms Developer at AZURE PCR LTD, where they researched algorithms for bioinformatics and medical usage, analyzed biomedical data, and mentored and lead a team of junior algorithm developers. From 2004 to 2003, they were a Research Staff Member, Course Instructor and Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University. In 2003, they were a Software Engineer at PTC.

Amit Bermanis obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 1999 and 2003. Amit then went on to earn their Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Tel Aviv University between 2004 and 2007. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Applied Mathematics from Tel Aviv University between 2007 and 2012.
