John Huang

John Huang has a wide range of work experience in the biotech and research fields. John is the Founder & CEO of TheWell Bioscience, which focuses on personalized medicine and improving patient quality of life. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder & CTO of Pep Gel and a Principal Investigator for the NSF SBIR/STTR program and Argonne National Laboratory. John also has experience as a Research Assistant at Kansas State University and Xiamen University, as well as being an Investigator at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. John is skilled in biomaterials and hydrogel systems for advanced cell culture and injectable applications.

John Huang earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Xiamen University from 2003 to 2007. John then went on to Kansas State University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomaterial and Technology from 2007 to 2012. In August 2012, John also received additional certification in "The Business of Bioscience: What Goes into Making a Biotechnology Product?" from the Research Commercialization and SBIR Center.
