Michael Karlesky

Michael Karlesky, PhD, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering, software development, and business leadership. Currently serving as a Business Associate and Senior Engineer at ThingamaByte, responsibilities include new product development and leading firmware development engagements. Previously, as Vice President of Software & Electronics at Upward Farms, Michael oversaw initiatives in sensors and controls, while also securing venture capital through innovative data systems. A Ph.D. in Computer Science with a focus on Human Computer Interaction was earned at NYU, complemented by roles as a research assistant and cofounder of startups such as Somaware and Automotive Wireless. Michael’s earlier positions include significant contributions at Atomic Embedded and Ashlar Technology, as well as project management in product development at MyPort Express, Inc.
