Brittany Murphy

Brittany Murphy has a diverse work experience starting from 2012. Brittany began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Penn State University from June 2012 to May 2013. Brittany then worked as a Teaching Assistant at Northwestern University from January 2014 to June 2014. In 2014, they had two Design Intern roles at Segal Design Institute and DesignHouse Inc, where they gained experience in co-creating design boxes, leading design bootcamps, and assisting in growing the companies' visions. From June 2015 to January 2017, they worked as an Experience Designer at Think Company, and later progressed to the role of Senior Experience Designer from January 2017 to January 2019. Brittany then took on the position of Design/Research Lead from January 2019 to January 2020 at Think Company before being promoted to Principal, Research from January 2020 to February 2021. From February 2021 to February 2022, they served as a Senior Research Lead. Most recently, starting from January 2022, they became a Design Research Manager at Think Company, and their current role is Director, Research & Strategy, which they have been in since February 2023.

Brittany Murphy pursued their education in a chronological manner. In 2008, they enrolled at Penn State University and spent five years there, completing their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering in 2013. During their time at Penn State, they participated in a study abroad program in 2012 at the University of Leeds. In 2013, they then went on to attend Northwestern University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Design & Innovation in 2014.
