Mostafa Sohdy Abdelfattah has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering and technology industry. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Think-it, a software engineering collective. In this role, they work alongside a team of web developers with a Tech Lead accountability to help advance Think-it's learning management system and Kulimi's Open Learning Community (OLC). From 2019 to 2022, they were Co-Founder and Creative Director at District V Studio. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Senior Software Developer at Nagwa, where they worked alongside the Multimedia Engineering Team to research, develop and maintain state of the art educational software. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Junior Software Developer at Nagwa, where they helped rearchitect Nagwa Video Builder Tool using OOP and FFMPEG and created a video delivery network. From 2015 to 2015, they were a Sales Engineering Student (CO-OP) at Siemens, where they trained within the Sales Engineering team to provide BMS solutions tailored for various clients. From 2015 to 2015, they were a Hardware Engineer (CO-OP) at Alcatel-Lucent, where they studied and developed more efficient techniques of cooling Remote Radio Heads. Finally, from 2014 to 2014, they were a Research Assistant (CO-OP) at Carleton University.
Mostafa Sohdy Abdelfattah received their Bachelor of Engineering Aerospace (CO-OP) from Carleton University in 2016, where they studied Aerodynamics, Propulsion and Vehicle Performance. Following this, they attended the EGYPTAIR Training Academy, where they completed the Basic Indoctrination for Airframe & Powerplant in 2017, specializing in Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance.
