Joel Zuhars

Joel Zuhars has over 30 years of work experience in the engineering and software development fields. Joel began their career in 1986 as an Engineer at JHU/Applied Physics Lab. Joel then moved to Integrated Surgical Systems/Robodoc in 1989, where they worked as a Principal Engineer. In 2000, they became a Senior Engineering Manager at NBCI. Two years later, they joined GE Healthcare as a Software Architect. In 2007, they moved to Zimmer Holdings as a Principal Software Engineer. Finally, in 2013, they joined THINK Surgical as Vice President of Research and Development, and later as Sr. Director of Engineering and Director of Advanced Products. In this latter role, they were responsible for defining and executing on the vision for the next generation product portfolio, directing internal and external product development teams and research partners, and evaluating technology and driving certain business development activities.

Joel Zuhars received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in 1986. Joel then went on to the University of California, Davis where they earned a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1991.
