Senior Manager, Technical Publications & Instructional Design at THINK Surgical

Kathleen Wunderlich has over 17 years of experience in professional education, technical writing, and technical communications. In 2019, they joined THINK Surgical as Lead, Professional Education, a senior member of the Instructional Design and Technical Publications team. In this role, they provide peer leadership, internal project management, and interfaces with the larger THINK organization. Kathleen also writes documentation and professional education material for 3D planning and robot-assisted execution of orthopedic surgical procedures. Prior to this, they were Manager, Technical Communications at Takara Bio USA, Inc. from 2012-2019, where they managed a team of seven writers producing documentation and marketing material for over 3,000 life science research products. From 2006-2012, they were a Technical Writer II and Technical Writer I at Takara Bio USA, Inc., creating documentation and marketing material for several product lines. In 2002, they joined Pixelligent Technologies as a Technical Editor, editing grant proposals for consistency, clarity, and adherence to proposal guidelines. From 2004-2006, they were a Grant Editor and Staff Research Associate/Grant Editor at the University of California, San Francisco, writing, editing, and proofreading manuscripts, reports, grant proposals, website content, and newsletters.

Kathleen Wunderlich obtained a Certificate in Technical and Professional Writing from San Francisco State University between 1999 and 2003. Kathleen also received their Masters in Biology from San Francisco State University between 1999 and 2002. Her Bachelors degree was earned from the University of San Francisco between 1991 and 1995, and was in Chemistry with a Biochemistry emphasis.
