Matt Lucas

Matt Lucas has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Matt is currently serving as the VP of Chemistry at Third Harmonic Bio since August 2023 and as a Biotech Consultant at Lucas Innovative Drug Solutions LLC since June 2023. Previously, they held positions such as Chief Scientific Officer at Gandeeva Therapeutics from September 2022 to May 2023 and SVP of Drug Discovery at Black Diamond Therapeutics from August 2019 to September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Elsevier as an Associate Editor of the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry from October 2013 to September 2022. Matt has also held various roles at Yumanity Therapeutics, VenatoRx Pharmaceuticals Inc., Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Hoffmann-La Roche, and Roche Palo Alto LLC. Throughout their career, Matt has demonstrated expertise in chemistry and medicinal chemistry.

Matt Lucas completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Southampton from 1993 to 1997. Matt then pursued a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the same university from 1998 to 2000. After that, they attended Florida State University from 2000 to 2002 for a Post Doc degree in Chemistry.
