Sumit Jain

Sumit Jain has worked in various roles in the software engineering field since 2004. Sumit began their career as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Southern California. In 2008, they were a Computer Scientist Intern at Adobe Systems Inc. From 2007-2011, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2011-2018, they were a Software Engineer at Google, where they were the Tech Lead for the machine vision team and designed and developed a large-scale video processing pipeline. Since 2021, they have been a Staff Software Engineer at Third Wave Automation.

Sumit Jain's educational history includes a PhD in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2007-2011), a MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (2004-2007), a B. Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (2000-2004), and secondary school from St. Annes Convent School, Chandigarh (1986-1998).
