Russell Chapin

Russell Chapin is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in frontend and UX engineering. Currently serving as the Lead Frontend Engineer at Thistle Technologies since November 2021, Russell previously held roles as a Senior UX Engineer at Chatmeter and a Software Engineer at Apple. Prior to these positions, Russell developed web and mobile applications at RJ Consulting and owned Chapin Applications, where the five-star rated iOS application "Let Me Decide" was designed and launched. Additional experience includes significant contributions to The San Diego Union Tribune's digital platform rebuild, co-founding CK Division, and leading projects at the Reynolds Journalism Institute and Hearst Digital Media. Russell earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
