Bart Ruis

Bart Ruis is a combustion engineer at Thomassen Energy BV since September 2021, specializing in the development of gas turbine combustors with an emphasis on premixed combustion of hydrogen and natural gas/hydrogen blends. Ruis has experience in modeling, designing, testing, and tuning both atmospheric and high-pressure combustors. Previously, Ruis served as Technical Manager and Co-Founder at SOLID from September 2016 to August 2019 and held teaching assistant positions at Eindhoven University of Technology, covering subjects like Transport Phenomena, Applied Natural Sciences, and Calculus. Ruis began the professional journey as a trainee constructor at Verhoeven Oss BV in July 2017. Educational qualifications include a Joint Master's degree in Turbomachinery Aeromechanics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and the University of Liège, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. Early education was completed at Titus Brandsmalyceum.
