Cathy Bishop

Cathy Bishop has extensive work experience in marketing and communications roles. Cathy is currently the Director of Marketing at Thompson Construction Group, Inc. Prior to that, they worked at Central Carolina Technical College where they held positions such as Creative Director in the Marketing & Communications Department and Director of Public Relations. Cathy also worked as a Media Specialist at the same institution. Previous to their time at the college, they worked as a Marketing Specialist at SAFE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. Additionally, they have experience working as a Graphic Artist for the United States Air Force and as a Visual Marketing Specialist for the 28th Force Support Squadron.

Cathy Bishop obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Painting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the period of 2001 to 2005. Cathy then pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Graphic Design and Advertising from Guilford Technical Community College from 2006 to 2008. Cathy also obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Graphic Design & Advertising from Guilford Technical Community College in 2007. Additionally, they have several certifications including an Associate Public Manager Certificate from the South Carolina Department of Administration, a Leadership Institute 2019 Graduate certificate from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations, a CCTC Leadership Training Level II certificate from Central Carolina Technical College, a Certificate of Photography from Guilford Technical Community College, and a CPR/AED/First Aid certificate from the National Safety Council.
