Leila Henderson Gary

Leila Henderson Gary is an experienced attorney with a strong background in litigation, insurance defense, and public law, currently serving at Thompson & Horton LLP since July 2018. Previous roles include attorney positions at the Dallas Independent School District and Quilling, Selander, Lownds, Winslett & Moser, P.C. Leila also held the position of Director of Public Policy at Education is Freedom, where responsibilities included developing advocacy agendas for college preparedness among under-served students. An alumnus of SMU Dedman School of Law, Leila has contributed to various organizations, including as an extern with the Dallas ISD's Office of Legal Services and as a teacher with the Austin Independent School District. Leila's educational background includes a JD from SMU Dedman School of Law, a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.Ed. from The University of Texas at Austin, and a BA in History from the University of Rochester.
